NCAA Tournament bracketology: Illinois nabs last No. 1 seed but Ohio State, Iowa, Alabama still alive
Tyreek Hill’s athleticism translates to the basketball court and it appears he could hold his own in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
Tyreek Hill is easily one of the most dynamic athletes in all of professional sports. The Kansas City Chiefs receiver has speed that is nearly impossible to stop and his explosiveness off the line is a special sight to behold.
So it makes sense that this translates well to a basketball court. A recent video shows Hill’s high-flying abilities as he dunks with ease and drains shots from deep.
Tyreek Hill submits his Dunk Contest audition tape
Hill is listed at 5-foot-10 and that is generous. His size serves as an advantage as he can glide around a football field right past every single defender. What should be a disadvantage on the hardwood is not even a factor given his leaping abilities. And not only can he dunk, but he can put on a show while in the air.
The video also shows Hill hitting shots from all over and, as usual, being difficult to stop. It is fun to imagine Hill’s speed on the court and defenders falling over as he stops on a dime to drill a 3-pointer in transition.
All the Chiefs will care about is Hill being careful when flying through the air and throwing down highlight dunks. But for him, this is just like any other workout. He never seems to be overworking himself.
Chiefs fans may now be starting the petition to get Hill into the Dunk Contest coming up this weekend.
